TBT: Untitled by premier digital artist Ashley Bailey
Ashley Bailey is a New Jersey native who currently works in
rural Ohio, teaching visual art to middle school students. Her
primary medium is digital art, working from cartooning to
realism, but has an expanded portfolio that includes
printmaking, sculpture, and other traditional fine arts.
With a strong interest in cartooning and comics, she attended
the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art for a year
before changing her course to art education at Kent State
University looking to seamlessly blend her life as an artist
with the drive to inspire future generations of artists in the
process.
Her day job allows her to work alongside students to create a
foundation in art that allows middle schoolers to work with all
types of mediums. While working on artwork for studio models in
the classroom, Ashley also creates her personal artwork on the
side and has been mostly focused on digital paintings for
commissions. Ashley's original work can be seen on display at
our South State Street gallery.
