"I have a bachelor's degree in art from the University of Virginia. I've lived in Bucks County, Pennsylvania for over 25 years, and I retired 4 years ago. I've always painted in my spare time, and still do... I just have a lot more of it now. I enjoy working with both oil and watercolor."

"To be honest, I'd much rather be painting than trying to write this artist's statement. To say I'm fascinated by any particular subject or lighting would be too limiting. I am more interested in evoking a mood than in merely capturing a likeness of the image. Using form, composition, color, and brushstrokes/palette knife to create an impression of a landscape, the figure, or still life-my ultimate goal is to capture a feeling."
